I recall a mentor that actually had succeeded in the business of Farms and Ranches - actually licensed in several Western States and had focused his part time Real Estate career in selling huge Farms and Ranches.

His income from his Part Time job as an agent actually was a little over 2 million dollars annually while his actual career job - teaching students, netted him about 60,000 yearly.  ( i know that he loved teaching and i admired who he was).  

I respected this man as very few i have ever known, he was an incredible teacher and an awesome mentor to me at a young age, i gleaned a great deal of information from him!  I also later in life saw the benefit of so many of his lessons!

Focus on certain areas of Real Estate - look outside the mundane day today practice and learn more about the other possibilities!  I see folks today selling Recreational Property, enjoying the small communities they live in and making a killing in a broader area of sales, working only 2-3 days a week!

Foreclosure Starts Decline On West Coast

West coast states saw a decline in foreclosure starts in December, according to new data from the research firm ForeclosureRadar. In fact four of the five states tracked by ForeclosureRadar's monthly survey saw double-digit declines. The exception was Oregon, where foreclosure starts rose by 5 percent. Foreclosure sales in the West coast states were mixed but down far less than ForeclosureRadar says it was expecting, given lender announcements of holiday moratoriums at the close of last year. » Read More

Mortgage Insurer PMI Files Bankruptcy The PMI Group, Inc. says it has filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. According to PMI, the move is a direct result of the seizure of its subsidiaries PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. and PMI Insurance Co. by the Arizona Department of Insurance on October 20, 2011.
